RallyTyper

RallyTyper is a free online typing game designed to help users improve typing speed and accuracy through competitive, interactive challenges. The platform includes global leaderboards, country-based rankings, and content-driven engagement through blogs and updates.

The project initially suffered from an unclear deployment setup, broken backend connectivity, and limited administrative control. The scope expanded into a complete UI/UX redesign to modernize the experience and improve user engagement.

**Key Achievements:**
- Analyzed and resolved a fragmented deployment setup (React frontend hosted inside WordPress on DigitalOcean with an undocumented backend)
- Deployed and restored the existing backend by migrating it to Vercel, re-establishing API connectivity
- Built a secure admin dashboard with authentication, enabling blog and content management through backend APIs
- Implemented a CMS system backed by MySQL, including schema design, blog tables, and API integration
- Led a complete frontend redesign with improved UI/UX, typography, and a modern color theme aligned with the game's competitive nature
- Implemented a countries marquee to highlight global participation and increase visual engagement
- Redesigned the leaderboard system with clearer rankings, better visual hierarchy, and improved readability

**Impact:** Delivered a fully functional CMS and admin dashboard, stabilized deployment infrastructure, significantly improved visual appeal and user engagement, and positioned RallyTyper for scalable growth.
